“Unlimited” means there is no allowance to use up. Pro accounts still have fair-use ceilings: up to 20,000 notes, 10 GB of recordings and a daily limit on AI actions. The notes FAQ lists them all.
Prices are in US dollars. Local VAT or sales tax may be added at checkout depending on where you live, and you will see the exact total before you confirm anything.

How free and Pro actually work
Free plans usually come with a catch somewhere. Here is the whole policy, in four lines.
The free allowance is yours once
Every new account gets 20 minutes of transcription, 50 AI actions and up to 20 notes. It does not reset each month, it is not a trial with a deadline, and it never asks for a card.
Every feature is switched on
Free accounts get the whole app: dictation into any app, voice notes, personal vocabulary, AI actions and reminders. Automatic AI titles, AI tags and reminders set by voice don't count against your AI actions.
Your notes are never held hostage
With or without a subscription, your notes stay readable and editable, and Export Notes saves them as Markdown files whenever you like. When part of the allowance runs out, new transcription, new AI actions and notes past the first 20 need the Pro plan; everything you already have stays yours.
Cancel whenever you like
The Pro plan is billed monthly or yearly through Polar. Cancel any time in the customer portal: Pro stays on until the end of the period you have paid for, and nothing renews after that.
Try it on real work first. If it earns a place in your day, the Pro plan is $18 a month, or $9 a month billed yearly.

The macOS app and the Windows app
One account works in both. Sign in on a Mac at work and a PC at home if that is how your week is split.
One account for every device
Sign in with Google or with a one-time code sent to your email. Your free allowance is shared across the devices you sign in on; the Pro plan covers up to 3 devices.
Dictation into any app
Your email client, Slack, a code editor, a browser form, a search box. Hold the shortcut, speak, and VoiceSnap Pro types into the field your cursor is already in, so there is no separate window and nothing to copy out.
Personal vocabulary
Add client names, product codes and acronyms once. Your vocabulary syncs through your account, so it is there on your other devices too.
Paste last dictation and History
If a field refuses the text, or you need it again somewhere else, paste your last dictation with a shortcut or pick a recent one from the History pop-up. Dictation history stays on your computer and can be turned off or cleared.
Voice notes, synced to your account
Long recordings with their own shortcut, a voice track player, re-transcribe and earlier versions. Notes sync to your account and appear on your other devices, with folders, tags, pins, PIN-locked notes, search and a Trash.
AI and reminders
AI titles and AI tags for new notes, AI actions that rewrite, summarize or translate a note or a dictation, and reminders on notes, with repeats and notifications on macOS and Windows. Say “remind me tomorrow at nine” in a voice note and the reminder is set.
Every update
New features and fixes arrive as ordinary app updates, on free and Pro alike.
Nothing used to train AI models
Your audio and your transcripts are not training data. That is a product rule rather than a privacy setting you have to find and switch on.
Not included
These are real gaps. Better to find one here than after you have paid.
No mobile app
VoiceSnap Pro is macOS and Windows only. There is no iOS or Android app and no way to dictate from a phone into a desktop field.
No team or admin console
No central user management, no SSO, no single invoice covering forty people. Each person signs up and subscribes on their own account.
No offline model
Transcription needs an internet connection. If most of your dictating happens on planes or in places with no signal, VoiceSnap Pro is not the tool for that yet.
No automatic rewrite of every dictation
A dictation is pasted as the speech model heard it, punctuated. When you want one rewritten, shortened or translated, run an AI action on it; nothing is rewritten behind your back.
No Linux build
macOS and Windows only. There is no Linux binary.
No bulk file transcription
VoiceSnap Pro transcribes you speaking, live. It is not a tool for uploading an hour of recorded audio or a video file and getting a transcript back.

Polar, our merchant of record. Polar runs the checkout, charges your card, adds any VAT or sales tax that applies where you live, and emails a receipt for every payment. Its customer portal is where you switch billing period, update your card or cancel.
It depends where you are. $18 and $108 are US dollar prices before local tax. In the EU, the UK and a number of other places, VAT or sales tax is added at checkout and shown to you before you confirm, so you will never be charged a total you did not see first. A receipt is emailed for each payment, which is usually all an expenses system needs.

No. Transcription runs against a hosted model, so dictation needs a connection. Nothing you dictate is used to train AI models, but if you need to dictate with the Wi-Fi off, VoiceSnap Pro is not the tool for that yet — and we would rather say so here than have you find out after paying.
