Speech to text for Windows
Talk through the draft. Write across your Windows apps.
Turn your spoken explanation into a reply, document or AI prompt without changing where you work. A second shortcut saves personal voice notes with recordings, search and reminders in the same account.
Windows 10 21H2 or later, or Windows 11 · x64 PC · Internet required
Try every feature free with 5,000 transcribed words and 50 manual AI actions, given once with no expiry and no card.

A project update in Teams
What you say
the export fix is ready for review we still need to check a large file please post the result in this thread before the release decision
An authored example, not a tested Teams screenshot or accuracy benchmark. Check the status and request, add formatting, then send the message yourself.
Hold Right Alt, speak, then release.
One shortcut for writing. A separate place for your ideas.
Write in the app that has focus
Use the held shortcut in Outlook, Word, Teams, browser forms or another editable field. The completed transcript arrives after release. You keep control of paragraph breaks, exact references and when the message is submitted.
Capture personal notes separately
Right Ctrl saves a Voice note rather than inserting text into another app. Organize notes with folders, tags and pins, search them later, and replay recordings according to your Keep recordings setting.
Keep the same account across computers
Voice notes and personal vocabulary follow your account between supported Mac and Windows computers. Optional dictation history stays on the computer where you spoke. Pro covers up to 3 devices.

Get from download to your first sentence
Download the Windows installer and sign in
Choose the Windows x64 installer on the download page. Install VoiceSnap Pro, then sign in with Google or an emailed code. The same account can be used on your supported Mac too.
Check microphone access and your hold key
Follow onboarding and allow microphone access for desktop apps in Windows settings. Test Right Alt, or change the key if it acts as AltGr or conflicts with the shortcuts you use for symbols.
Try a sentence in Notepad, then your work app
Focus a blank document and hold the shortcut while speaking. Release, wait for the text and inspect it. Repeat in your destination field; if insertion fails there, check focus and app permissions before changing the microphone.
Will it run on your PC?
- Windows 10 version 21H2 or later, or Windows 11.
- An x64 PC; there is no native Windows ARM64 installer.
- A working microphone, desktop-app microphone access and an internet connection.
- A signed-in VoiceSnap Pro account; no payment card is needed to start.
Test insertion in your actual apps. A field that is not editable, a shortcut conflict or an app running with different privileges can prevent text from landing even when transcription works.
The built-in option
Win + H is the built-in starting point
Windows voice typing starts with Win + H in a text field. Microsoft documents its microphone and internet requirements. If you need to navigate the desktop by voice, evaluate Windows 11 Voice Access separately. VoiceSnap Pro is useful when you want a held dictation shortcut and a searchable personal voice-note library together.

- VoiceSnap Pro needs cloud transcription. It does not include an offline speech model.
- It adds punctuation and, unless you turn Clean up dictation off, removes fillers, but does not add paragraph breaks or follow spoken editing commands.
- It enters text and saves personal notes. It does not replace Voice Access for desktop control or capture meeting system audio.
- Voice-note recordings can be retained for playback; dictation audio is discarded after transcription. Review the privacy policy and recording settings for details.
